The Fine Detail

What do you get for your £35?

Well! - a good day out for a start, with like-minded golfers.

But to be more specific:

  • Green fees
  • A post game meal
  • Bacon roll and coffee/tea beforehand
  • A free raffle
  • Competition Prizes

The Competition is based on the Stableford Scoring System (don't worry if you are unfamiliar with this, help is at hand).

The Competion Prizes are normally as follows:

Individual 1st  -  Bottle of Spirits and Sleeve of balls

2nd -  Bottle of Wine and Sleeve of balls

                 3rd -  2 sleeves of balls

Best Team       -  £5 each

Nearest the Pin - Bottle of Wine

Longest Drive  -  Bottle of Wine

28+handicap  -   Bottle of Wine

Two's - Cash prize maximum £10

Wooden Spoon - Sleeve of balls

Occasionally we will play more expensive courses where if possible society excess funds will help to reduce the cost for loyal members.

The Draw:

A few days prior to the meeting, once player names are known, a computerised, random draw is made comprising teams of 3 or 4 players.

How do you enter?

Just reply to the email you are sent, confirming your attendance and you will be automatically added to the draw. Alternatively call or text the telephone number you are given in the email. Then just turn up in time to have your bacon roll and coffee!

What handicap do I start on?

If you have a Official Club Handicap, you start with that (maximum 36)

If you do not have a Handicap, you will start on 24, or less if you feel you are better than that.

Each month's winner is deducted 3 shots from their handicap, 2nd two, and third one shot.

Anyone not within 4 shots of the third placed player will have their handicap increased by one shot.
